You are invited to arrive early to walk the land and gather your offering.
There are certain days in the year that ask to be marked. The Spring Equinox is one of them ~ a luminous threshold when light returns in equal measure to darkness and the balance point is exact. The season turns. What has been forming beneath the surface begins to take shape.
We will begin in ceremony, entering that balance with intention. Together we will acknowledge what winter has shaped in us ~ what has clarified, what has refined, what is complete. Each of us will gather something living from the land and bring it into the circle. In naming what we are ready to cultivate, we place ourselves in conscious relationship with the season and with the living world already in motion.
From there, we enter Micah Sheiner’s Spring Equinox sound ceremony.
At this moment when day and night are of equal length, we’ll journey into embodying harmony and balance with all of our relations, inner and outer. Attuning our hearts with ceremonial cacao in a lush soundscape of shells, seeds, strings, metals, winds, and waters, we open to guidance from the transformative spirit of Dragonfly. Exploring Dragonfly’s gifts of adaptability, flight, dreaming, joy, and seeing through illusion, we nourish our creative blossoming potential and deepen our synergy with the natural web of life.
As the sound resolves, we will walk together in silence to the open meadow for sunset ~ allowing what has been stirred to be integrated.
Spring at the Rituel Nature Refuge is magnificent in its regeneration. After months of inward tending, the land rises again ~ full of lush grasses and bright and insistent wildflowers. We will return what we gathered to the earth in gratitude and conclude the evening there ~ steady, radiant, alive.
